About Peggy

Peggy has worked as a Community Liaison Counsellor, School Counsellor, Autism Consultant with the Department of Education (EDU), Sessional Instructor at Memorial University, and she has taught in the Behaviour Unit at District School.  Peggy is a Registered Psychologist in Newfoundland & Labrador. Peggy Hann is a School Psychologist with NLSchools and she has a private practice.

Peggy is currently serving her second term as Co-President of the Psychologists in Education (PIE).  PIE is a Special Interest Council (SIC) of the Newfoundland & Labrador Teachers Association (NLTA). Peggy is Past-President of NLCPA and has received a Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award from her colleagues.  In 2025, Peggy received the School Psychologist of the Year Award from the Canadian Psychology Association (CPA) - Educational/Psychology Section. Peggy served as a Director with APNL (Association of Psychology in Newfoundland Labrador). Some of her high interests areas include: Mental Wellness / Self-Care, ADHD, ASD, Specific Learning Disorders, Coping Strategies for dealing with Anxiety, Positive Psychology, Fostering "HappYness" and Life Balance.
